“My Partner Wants to Use WordPress Because 50% of the Web Uses It. Help!”

Unstability of WordPress stack of plugins vs stability of UltimateWB built-in features

Ask David! Question

“I am building a website with my partner. He wants to use WordPress to build it, saying that 50% of the websites use it, so it must be good. I point to the high maintenance, and that hacked WordPress websites are way too common. We will need to use many plugins for the features we need, but UltimateWB has everything we need built-in. Einstein’s quote that insanity is trying the same thing over and over again and

Computer Screen Has Black Bars on the Sides: How to Fix It

How to fix computer display setting issue that has black bars on sides of desktop

Ask David! Question:

My HP laptop screen suddenly has black areas on both sides, and those parts of the screen aren't usable. If I move a window toward either side, part of the window disappears underneath the black area. This happened when I was trying to open GIMP. The screen seemed to suddenly snap into a different size. How do I fix this?

David’s Answer:

This is most likely a display resolution problem, not a damaged laptop screen.

WordPress vs. UltimateWB for an Artist Website: Which Should You Choose?

WordPress vs UltimateWB for an artist website with galleries, e-commerce, and custom design

Ask David

I'm an artist and want to create a website to showcase my work, sell digital downloads, and perhaps sell real prints too. So I'm researching website builders. Initially I thought to use Wix or Squarespace because I heard they are easy, but going deeper they seem too simple and won't have the customization options I need. I want to be able to style my website to show me. I need photo galleries, slideshows, and collages. I need e-commerce.

Thinking About Switching From WordPress? What Should You Consider Before You Move?

Website migration from WordPress to UltimateWB

Ask David!

I'm thinking about switching from WordPress to another platform.

I've been googling for discussions about migrating away from WordPress and found UltimateWB. Most other discussions I've found are the opposite, and

If you opened your Google Search Console (GSC) performance report recently, like one of our “Ask David!” submitters did, you might have noticed a sudden, bizarre spike in impressions for an exact query string that looks something like this:

The Webflow Visual Middleman: Navigating a 13-step layout panel just to execute what should be a single line of clean, native CSS code.

When searching for a development platform that wouldn't restrict their workflow, one developer reached out via our  “Ask David!” support form with a familiar frustration:

"I tried Webflow for a client project. I'm a developer, and I found myself constantly fighting the interface instead of building the site. I just want to make sure that UltimateWB
