Why Web Hosting Choice Matters When Choosing a Website Builder

web-hosting1

When choosing a website builder, most people focus on templates, features, ease of use, and pricing. Web hosting is often overlooked - even though it can have a major impact on your website's performance, scalability, cost, and long-term flexibility. For many, slow loading speeds or sudden price hikes can be the wake-up call that makes them realize how important their hosting environment really is.

While closed platforms like Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, GoDaddy, and Shopify tie your

Is the GoDaddy website builder safe? How will I sell a website by making with GoDaddy?

GoDaddy

Yes it is safe, but it doesn’t have a lot of features and options. That is a big reason I prefer to use UltimateWB. Plus, with UltimateWB you get web hosting choice, so that is a better selling point, than a website that must use only GoDaddy web hosting.

Compare Website Builder Software and Find Out Who Really Stands Behind Their Product

If a website builder is truly the best, the company selling it should use it for their own site, right? Surprisingly, that’s not always the case. In fact, many popular website builder platforms don’t use their own software to power their official website - often due to limitations in customizability, flexibility, or performance.

Bluehost “Unlimited” Web Hosting Plans Have Worst Inode Limits

Unlimited web hosting, inode limits, Bluehost plans

The Ironic Truth Behind “Unlimited” Hosting

Funny how the word "limit" always follows the word "unlimited" when unlimited web hosting plans are involved...eventually in the terms of use or question/answer sections. Inode refers to the number of files you can have on your account - that is the number of files counting everything - every file, every page, every image, every email.  The limit Bluehost has set is 50,000, as stated on their help topics page:

GoDaddy website builder gets HORRIBLE reviews, still buggy customers say

GoDaddy

Really, really horrible reviews.  We recently came across the SiteBuilderReport page for the GoDaddy website builder and their customers say it is still full of bugs and issues, and the tech support is the opposite of help. ...Yikes!.

Here is one recent GoDaddy website builder review, from a couple days ago, complaining about how their "easy" website builder is not easy or user friendly at all:

I wanted a quick and easy WYSIWYG website builder. Their website builder program

Hosted Solution, Self-Hosted website, and the Best Option

Combination of the Best

There are two standard ways you can create, manage, and host your website online.

1) Hosted Solution

This means that you are using an online service to both design/create your website, and host it online.  It is an all-in-one deal with a website builder and web hosting.  You can't have one without the other.

Examples for simple website builders include Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, GoDaddy, for e-commerce website builders, Volusion, BigCommerce, Shopify, and for social networking website builders, Wild Apricot

Should you get .com, .org, and .net domain names – all the tld’s?

comorgnetdomains

If you ask GoDaddy, the answer is yes, right?  When you try to buy a domain name with GoDaddy you are repeatedly urged to purchase the other top level domain names (tld's) available for purchase, your-name.com and your-name.org, and your-name.net ...even your-name.biz and some other ones.  So you might be wondering, should I buy the other domain name extensions for my website?  Is it necessary, or a good idea?  Does it "protect" my domain name/website? The real answer is that
