Google Uses HTTPS (SSL) as a Website Ranking Signal
Last year in August, Google announced that it would use "HTTPS" as a ranking signal. HTTPS denotes that a website's server has SSL installed, a security technology to encrypt the transfer of data, between the web server and user internet browser and vice versa. When you have SSL installed, your website may be accessed via "https://..." , and the "http://" unsecure version of your website should be redirected automatically to it. For example, on our UltimateWB website, we have https://www.ultimatewb.com... Continue reading

Alphabet’s New Structure and Domain Strategy
Google has officially become a subsidiary of Alphabet, its new holding company. After U.S. markets closed last Friday, Alphabet replaced Google as the publicly traded company, consisting of Google search, Adsense, Google Maps, YouTube, and other new ventures such as driverless cars. Alphabet chose a new tld for their website, abx.xyz, but they are still making similar domain name purchases. They just recently purchased the "full alphabet", domain name that is, Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz.com. Yes, each

Naked domains & CNAME records for server traffic redirects
So, what makes the "www"... Continue reading

Hooray for #ilooklikeanengineer!
It all started with an ad campaign a few days ago for San Francisco-based tech company One Login . Twenty two year old Isis Anchalee Wenger was featured in one of the ads, as an actual engineer for the company:
Wenger got mixed responses, and a lot of attention, more than the other employees who were chosen to do the recruitment ads too, displaying on Bart.
Some questioned whether Wenger was a hired model vs a real engineer working at... Continue reading

One easy difference in how you post videos on Facebook makes such a big difference in the number of views you get how fast. It's so easy. Just upload your video directly to Facebook vs uploading it just to YouTube and then embedding that into your Facebook post. Or instead of adding the link to your original posted video on an outside source to Facebook.
Why? The reason is as simple as the method, really. Facebook favors videos uploaded directly... Continue reading

You choose keywords that relate to your product/website and that, along with how much you are willing to pay per click/day, determines when your ad shows. But there is one feature not many may know... Continue reading
