What are the benefits of designing an e-commerce website from scratch (i.e. not using a service that writes the code for you)?
A plus would be that you could host your web hosting on a server of your choice, but you can get that with any website builder that is not a hosted solution. Coding from scratch you don’t have to worry about not having flexibility for the functionalities or design you want due to the software, but again, you can get that flexibility with the right website builder. if you like to, but WordPress is not required to become a web developer. If you want to code interactive elements from scratch you will need to know php. How do I set two homepages, one for the mobile version and the 2nd for the desktop version?
You don’t want to have 2 versions - but just a different formatting. Then you only have to keep 1 version updated. You should base this formatting on the device size. You can use the Responsive app in UltimateWB - just fill in the form options to customize and your website pages automatically reformat based on the user’s device size.
