Why We Don’t Use Google Analytics on Our Website

No website tracking cookies

At UltimateWB, we don’t use Google Analytics – or any third-party analytics tool – on our website. That might sound surprising in an age where data-driven decisions are the norm. But our decision is intentional, and it’s based on the same principles that guide how we build our platform: performance, privacy, and user control.

Here’s why we chose to go analytics-free – and how that choice reflects what we stand for.

1. Privacy Comes First

Most analytics tools track users extensively – even with features like IP anonymization turned on. We believe in respecting visitors’ privacy by default. That means not tracking them across sessions or devices, and not collecting data we don’t truly need.

By not using Google Analytics or any third-party trackers, we avoid placing cookies, triggering consent banners, or sending information to external servers. Our users browse our site without being watched – and that’s exactly how we think it should be.

2. We Keep Things Fast and Lightweight

Google Analytics adds extra scripts to every page. It may not seem like much, but these scripts affect loading speed and can slow down performance — especially on mobile devices or slower connections.

We’re obsessed with speed. Our own platform is built to help users create fast-loading websites, so it only makes sense that we hold ourselves to the same standard. Fewer scripts mean faster page loads, better Core Web Vitals scores, and a smoother experience overall.

3. We Don’t Want to Rely on Big Tech

UltimateWB is built to give users control over their websites – from design to functionality to how they handle visitor data. You’re not locked into using third-party services or forced to rely on plugins that slow your site down or compromise privacy.

Using Google Analytics, or similar services, would mean sending data to companies whose primary business is ad targeting. That’s not something we’re comfortable with. Just like we avoid embedding unnecessary third-party tools into our platform, we also avoid them on our website.

4. We Focus on What Matters

You don’t always need complex data dashboards to understand what’s working. We measure success based on direct feedback, customer engagement, and how well we’re helping people build the websites they want – not based on tracking every pageview.

We also use Google Search Console, which gives us all the essential insights we need: how people are finding our site, which pages show up in search results, and where we can improve our SEO. It’s privacy-friendly, doesn’t involve tracking users, and helps us stay focused on delivering value – not chasing vanity metrics.

5. Our Website Is an Example of Our Values

We built our website using UltimateWB. That means no bloated plugins, no unnecessary scripts, and no analytics unless you choose to add them.

The decision to go analytics-free isn’t for everyone – and that’s okay. UltimateWB gives you the flexibility to integrate Google Analytics or other tools if that’s your preference. But our default choice reflects how we prioritize performance, transparency, and privacy – and how you can too, if you choose.

Final Thoughts

We’re not against analytics – we just think every website owner should have the freedom to choose what’s best for them. For us, that means saying no to Google Analytics and third-party trackers, and yes to speed, simplicity, and privacy.

If that sounds like your kind of web philosophy, you’ll feel right at home building with UltimateWB.
