
By default, WordPress doesn’t support meta descriptions – an important factor in SEO and click-through rates on Google. That’s why we’ve built this feature into your UltimateWB-integrated blog – no third-party plugins needed.
Why Meta Descriptions Matter
Meta descriptions provide a concise summary of your content. They’re often displayed in search engine results and can significantly improve your click-through rate.
How Meta Descriptions Work in UltimateWB
There are 2 options:
- Automatic: Our smart algorithm finds the last period within the first 160 characters, ending the meta description with a complete sentence.
- Manual: You can also enter your own custom meta description when adding or editing a post. A character counter helps you stay within the 160-character guideline.
If a manual description is provided, it will override the automatic one.

How to Enable Meta Descriptions in Your Blog
Once you upgrade to UltimateWB 8, you’ll have access to this feature. Simply log into your website admin panel and navigate to:
Pages > Edit Page > Blog
Click the “Update Blog” link on this page to upgrade your blog files to the latest version.
