Hackers target Apple devices: iPhone, iPod, iPad, Mac OS computers

Consumers with Apple products who thought they were immune to hackers and viruses on their macs and other apple products because they chose Apple over PC and android are in for a surprise.  A warning has been issued for anyone who owns an Apple product that a major software flaw has been uncovered that could allow hackers  to intercept your email.  It affects anyone using an iPhone 4 or later model, iPod touch, iPad 2, iPad 3, and iPad Air. So probably not Jimmy Kimmel’s iPad Mini click it and lick it lick taste model either.

Mmm yummy, tastes like chocolate…  Back to the Apple security risk, it stems from a problem with encrypting data you send from your device over a wireless internet connection.  Apple admits an attacker may steal or modify your data due to this major flaw.  The company released software patches for some of the products, but not for Apple latops and desktop computers running the Mac OS 10 operating system.

“Every consumer needs to do the following, they need to have up to date software on their iPhone, on their iPad, on their Mac. The reality today is there are vulnerabilities,” ABC News consultant and former FBI special agent Brad Garrett said.
