Web Hosting SSL types, Premium SSL, Domain and Company validated
In reference to the Premium SSL purchasing option, what does it mean when it says "Domain and Company validated"? Also, which of the three SSL options do you think would be most appropriate for my site, which will be used as a social media platform with music/video content and a credit system, and also will consist of an e-commerce platform?

The Domain and Company validated SSL (Premium SSL) verifies the company information, not just the domain name owner.  So it takes longer to issue (about 10 days) vs within 1 day for the Single Domain SSL.  Also with the Premium SSL you get the "Green Browser Bar", displaying your company info.

An example of Premium SSL is bankofamerica.com.  An example of Single Domain SSL is facebook.com.

You could choose either, depending on which you prefer/would like.  Our website, ultimatewb.com, currently uses the Single Domain SSL.  Based on which sites use the Single Domain SSL, vs Premium SSL, I would go with the Single Domain SSL.

Hope it helps.  Please feel free to ask if you have any further questions.  By the way, we have been adding some more features to the UltimateWB Full 4.4 upgrade and plan to release it for download/hosted accounts next week - we will update you on that.

Pertaining to the ssl certification, what situation would the wildcard option be necessary for? If I chose the single domain option would I enter my main domain to be used, and would it cover the ecommerce section of my site?

Yes, the single domain ssl will cover your whole website built with ultimatewb software.  The wildcard is if you want sub domains, such as shop.your-domain.com , rather than your-domain.com/shop.  On our website ultimatewb.com we have the single domain ssl and it covers the whole website and sub folders too, i.e. ultimatewb.com/demo, etc.
