There is a signature tab on your profile page, what is it for? Can we remove it?

The signature option on your website member Edit Profile page is for the Forums app.  That can be removed by turning the option "Use Signature" to "No", on the Configure Site > Social Networking > Forum configurations page.  You can do Ctrl-f on your keyboard to find "use signature" on that page, and it will jump you to that section.
