Can a site like Quora be built using Joomla or a similar CMS?

Plugin based CMS vs integrated CMS with built-in, community features - chaos vs stability

A Quora-like website is a question-and-answer platform where users can post questions, provide answers, interact through comments, and engage with other users through profiles, messaging, and activity-based features.

At first glance, it may seem like any content management system (CMS) could be used to build this type of website. However, the key difference is whether those features are native to the system or assembled through external components.

So, short answer, you probably don't want to create your Quora-like

What is the best website developing a for e-commerce website? Can WordPress or Joomla be used or any other one?

Best one is UltimateWB. It has a built-in e-commerce app with lots of features - with WordPress or Joomla you have to find/install third party plugins. The more plugins you use, the more security risks, your website may load slower, and each time you have to upgrade your platform, your website functions may break because of plugin incompatibilities. UltimateWB is very flexible and customizable, and very fast and easy to use.

How come Joomla is so complicated? Is it worth it to learn?

Joomla website admin panel, complicated

Many people choose Joomla because it’s a well-known name, but fame doesn’t always equal a good user experience. In reality, Joomla often comes with a “complexity tax” - it forces you to work much harder than necessary to get basic results.

To understand why it feels so “clunky,” and if it’s worth the effort, we have to look at why it was built this way in the first place and how that “legacy logic” affects you today.

The History: Born

What software is best for me to learn web development like PHP, Joomla, etc.?

The best software for web development I would say is UltimateWB. It has lots of built-in apps that are very customizable and flexible. You can build any type of website with UltimateWB. You can add your own coding to it too if you want. It is very similar to how you would add coding to a website built from scratch, i.e. with php includes. It’s very user friendly. Php is a coding language, not software. It is good to learn

Which CMS is user-friendly, WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla?

wordpress-vs-joomla-vs-drupal-open-source-website-builder

If you need to extend them with plugins/extensions to get the features you need, I don’t think either is very user friendly; but if you’re choosing among those because you want to use an open source program, I would go with WordPress. I prefer to use WordPress just for blogging, and UltimateWB for websites, which is very user friendly. You can build any type of website with it. With WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla you have to be very careful about

What is the website developing program Joomla?

Joomla is an open source platform like WordPress. You can add extensions to it to get the features you want for your website. If you choose to use it, make sure to keep it upgraded for security, and make backups as sometimes it can break your website functionalities due to incompatibilities. Like in WordPress, you don’t want your website to have too many extensions installed as they can make your website run a lot slower, and use a lot of

Is Joomla the best web development program around now?

Joomla is a very basic website builder out-of-the-box, like WordPress, but if you like creating your own plugins it’s an option to try out You can also search for and install plugins to get more features. It isn’t the best method I would use to create a website. I prefer UltimateWB because if you feel like adding your own coding to it - you probably won’t because it has so many built-in apps that are very customizable - it is

Which is better for a custom directory, WordPress or Joomla?

wordpress-vs-joomla

If you’re choosing between WordPress and Joomla to create a custom directory, the better one would be the one that you find a directory plugin for that you like - or if you’re a coder, the framework/set-up that you like better. With either platform, you have to extend the features to create a custom directory website; it’s not a built-in feature.

Can I use Joomla to build an e-commerce store for selling products or services?

Joomla doesn’t have any e-commerce features built-in - but you can choose an e-commerce plugin to install and use. You will probably find that the UltimateWB website builder is much easier though - it has e-commerce features built-in and you can use your website admin panel to create/customize your website.
