Why do some websites scale as you shrink/grow window to fit content, usually news sites do this, Google and Amazon as an example, do not, is there a way to force it on those that don’t, or is it just how they’re designed, running macos if it matters?
They have responsive design, to be user friendly. It’s how they are coded. You could design your website to be responsive without any coding, using a website builder like UltimateWB - but you would need access as the admin to the website.
Got a techy/website question? Whether it’s about UltimateWB or another website builder, web hosting, or other aspects of websites, just send in your question in the “Ask David!” form. We will email you when the answer is

Are You “Leaking SEO” by Linking to Other Websites?
You’ve probably heard this SEO advice before:
Don’t link to other websites. You’re just giving away your SEO.
Sometimes you’ll hear this described as “SEO leakage” - the idea that when you put an external link on your website, you’re giving some of your hard-earned SEO value to another website.

Discovered vs. Crawled Not Indexed in Google Search Console: What’s the Difference and How to Fix Each
When you log into Google Search Console (GSC) to check your site’s coverage, it can be very frustrating to find your URLs shoved into the "Not Indexed" bucket. But pay close attention to the specific reason GSC provides.
Two of the most common - and easily confused - statuses are "Discovered - currently not indexed" and "Crawled - currently not indexed."
