Amazon’s Massive Outage Knocks Out Alexa, Snapchat, Fortnite, and More
The internet had a rough morning. In the early hours of October 20, Amazon Web Services (AWS) - the backbone of much of the web - went down, taking with it a long list of popular apps and services that millions rely on every day.
For several hours, users around the world couldn’t send Snaps, connect to Fortnite, or even ask Alexa about the weather. Payment app Venmo stalled, Ring doorbells stopped responding, and parts of Amazon.com itself wouldn’t load.

Amazon just made history - and not in the way it wanted. The company has agreed to pay $2.5 billion to settle a case with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), which accused the e-commerce giant of tricking millions of people into signing up for Prime memberships and making cancellation a confusing nightmare.

To build a website like Amazon.com: You can build a marketplace with UltimateWB and the built-in Classifieds app. Like Amazon, you would be able to allow others to post their items too. You can set it up with profit-sharing, so that you get a percentage of the sale. Kind of like PayPal.
To build a website like Apple.com: You could use the UltimateWB built-in e-commerce app.
You can build any type of website with UltimateWB. It is very flexible and

Why do some websites scale as you shrink/grow window to fit content, usually news sites do this, Google and Amazon as an example, do not, is there a way to force it on those that don’t, or is it just how they’re designed, running macos if it matters?
They have responsive design, to be user friendly. It’s how they are coded. You could design your website to be responsive without any coding, using a website builder like UltimateWB - but you would need access as the admin to the website.

Building a website where every member gets their own profile and photo gallery sounds simple - until you actually try to build it with a website builder that is not made for that.
Many general website builders allow visitors to create basic accounts. But once you want members to upload photos, manage their own galleries, customize profile fields, or interact with other members, you quickly discover that not every platform was engineered for user-generated content.

E-commerce vs Marketplace: What’s the Difference?
When you’re planning to start an online business, one of the first decisions you’ll face is what kind of platform you actually need. Should you build a traditional e-commerce store where you sell your own items? Or should you create a marketplace where many sellers can list their products, like Etsy, Amazon, or eBay?
These terms get mixed up a lot, but they represent two very different business models - each with its own setup, features, and management style.
